BB: It was a disappointing game to lose for us. I thought that it was obviously a tough game, a hard-fought game. But in the end the Redskins made a few more plays than we did and we just weren't quite able to make enough there at the end. That's about the way it goes in this league. That's about the kind of game we expected down here. They are a good team and we just came up a little bit short today, I think in all three areas. That's really about it.

Q: Why the third-down draw call at the end there in that situation?

BB: We were trying to pick up the first down.

Q: Was there a thought to call a timeout there on fourth down or was the thought to catch them off guard?

BB: I think we ... no, we had a pretty good idea what we wanted. There was still plenty of time left and it just came down to that play to keep the drive going, but we would have been able to use the time had we converted there.

Q: Any thought to possibly kicking a field goal? Did you have any discussion about that?

BB: No, not with fourth-and-two (actually three).

Q: It worked out for you, but the decision not to onside kick? Did you talk about that and what went into that decision?

BB: We talked about it. We decided to kick it deep. We thought that was a better play in that situation. It was before the two-minute warning. We still had a time out left.

Q: In the long run was it the turnovers that killed you more than anything else?

BB: I think we came up a little bit short in all three areas of the game. I think that we didn't make enough plays to win.

Q: One was a turnover and one wasn't, but the two hot potato plays where the ball was loose for a long time, they came away with both of those. Is there something you can do to practice something like that?

BB: You practice recovering fumbles. We do that drill weekly. You try to get on the ball, get your hands on it, cover it up and not get it poked out. We do that every week.

Q: Did you think you got a break on the call that was not ruled a catch on the out of bounds play on their part at the end there?

BB: The ball came out when the receiver hit the ground.

Q: So you thought they made the right call?

BB: I thought the ball came out when it hit the ground. I didn't get as good a look at it as they did, but the ball came out when he hit the ground.

Q: Were you too far to try Adam [Vinatieri] and tie the game there on fourth and two?

BB: We thought we could pick up the fourth-and-two (three).

Q: Considering the number of injuries you came into the game and the possibility that you might have difficulty in those spots, just in your initial analysis does it seem like the guys that you put in there pretty much performed at a level that shows hope? They weren't' exploited to huge degrees ...

BB: I don't know. I think the team played hard. I think we made a number of plays, but we didn't make enough. They made more than we did. I don't know any other way to put it.

Q: At almost any level I would suppose that missing as many guys as you were that just to come this close would be an achievement, but I suppose at this level it isn't enough?

BB: I don't really look at it that way. I'd liked for us to have made a few more plays there at the end to be able to win it and we didn't. So I think that's what the feeling is.

Q: On Tom's [Brady] interception there in the end zone it looked like he was pounding his fist like he thought he might have made a bad decisions or a bad throw? Did you see that?

BB: I don't think any quarterback thinks he made a good play after he throws an interception. I am sure that every quarterback would like to have every interception back. I don't think anybody comes off the field saying, 'Great I just threw an interception.' I wouldn't expect anybody to do that.

Q: You didn't look very pleased with it either when he came off the field?

BB: Do I usually look happy when we throw interceptions?

Q: On your last offensive play you went deep over the middle, I would have thought that you might have gone short just to pick up the first down? A 5-yard pass?

BB: We had a couple of short receivers and it was tight there. The quarterback probably thought he couldn't get it in. I wouldn't second-guess that one. Troy Brown was short for first down yardage, but I don't know if that was open. I don't think it was.

Q: Do you talk about the injuries before the game or do you just say, 'Hey, let's go?'

BB: We talk about winning. We talk about doing what we need to do to win. That's what we talk about. We talk about the game plan. We talk about the strategy. We talk about what we need to do to win. That's what we talk about before every game.
