Phil Simms: "As time goes on, the more that comes out. A lot of people talked about it this week. Everybody tries to steal signals. The Patriots, I believe their version. This is just me. They thought they were not breaking a rule. Otherwise, why would they stand there and do it out in the open? But, people always ask me and I've been fairly consistent about this. I don't think you get a competitive advantage even if you know signals. Most of the time you are always changing them. And until somebody can really tell me, I just go, 'Well, I played 15 years. I never knew it to be a factor. I can't imagine it is now.'"
Jim Nantz: "Do you think that what the Patriots were accused of, what they were caught doing, was anything out of the ordinary that no one else in the league had ever attempted to do?"
Simms: "I know people attempted it. Was it out of the ordinary? Yes, it was probably a little more than most teams were doing. Look, they did something, it was deemed illegal. They were penalized. They were fined, they lost a first round draft pick. What else do you want?"
